● Experience in the garments or textile industry is highly preferred.

● Proven expertise in research methodology, data analysis, and report writing.

● In-depth knowledge of sustainability practices and environmental regulations relevant to the RMG industry.

● Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead projects independently.

● Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Bangla.

● Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

● Proficiency in relevant software and tools for research and data analysis.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Overview:

The Head of Industrial Research Unit will lead BGMEA’s research initiatives and sustainability programs, overseeing the Research Team and the Sustainability Team. This senior role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in industrial research, policy analysis, sustainability practices, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive research programs aligned with BGMEA’s objectives.
Research Oversight: Lead the planning and execution of industrial research projects, ensuring high-quality data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Sustainability Initiatives: Oversee the development and implementation of sustainability programs, promoting environmentally responsible practices within the RMG industry.
Policy Analysis: Monitor and analyze industry trends, economic data, and policy developments to inform BGMEA’s strategic decisions.
Team Management: Supervise and mentor the Research and Sustainability teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government agencies, industry stakeholders, and international partners to advance research and sustainability goals.
Communication: Present research findings and sustainability reports to internal and external audiences, effectively communicating complex information.
