Education

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Industrial Eng & Production, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing

Experience

• 10 to 15 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  Electronic Equipment/Home Appliances, Electric Wire/Cable

Additional Requirements

• Age 35 to 50 years

• Experience in optical fiber cable manufacturing or related high-precision cable/electronics industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and ERP systems.
• Proven leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities & Context

The Head of Operations – Factory will oversee end-to-end factory operations for the production of optical fiber cables. The role involves managing manufacturing, maintenance, quality control, supply chain, and workforce management to ensure optimum productivity, cost-efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Core Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

• Lead day-to-day factory operations including production, quality, maintenance, planning, and logistics.
• Set operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement across all departments.
• Ensure on-time production and delivery to meet customer demands and project deadlines.

Production Management:

• Develop and implement effective production schedules based on demand forecasts and order pipelines.
• Optimize machine and manpower utilization to improve output and reduce downtime.
• Ensure proper calibration and operation of specialized optical fiber equipment and machinery.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement stringent quality control protocols to ensure product meets international standards (e.g., ITU-T, ISO, etc.).Work closely with the Quality team to address deviations and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Supply Chain & Inventory:

• Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure raw material availability and efficient inventory control.
• Manage vendor relationships for machinery, raw materials, and consumables.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and develop a high-performing operations team including line supervisors, engineers, technicians, and support staff.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure full compliance with local laws and international standards for health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Promote a zero-incident safety culture across the plant.

Strategic Involvement:

• Participate in strategic planning and budgeting for operations.
• Contribute to CAPEX and OPEX decisions related to plant expansion, technology upgrades, and automation initiatives.
