  • Fluent in the Microsoft Office suite of desktop applications and related software packages, with proficiency in Excel and Project a must (proficiency in Primavera P6 an advantage).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly.
  • Experience in developing platforms for internal processes.
  • Experience in coaching project team members to strengthen their abilities and skill sets.
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Relevant Engineering degree is require.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the relevant industry, with abilities in general management and sales, design/construction project management.
  • Must have Professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Actively work with the CEO, General Manager, bid team, and project delivery, maintenance, and logistic teams to ensure smart project engineering solutions and staging concepts are well planned and executed.
  • Participate in project delivery through effective scheduling, resource planning, and delivery staging of the project.
  • Ensure input to and output from design, finance, and logistics teams is clear and complete during the handover of projects from the presales team to the delivery team.
  • Establish and monitor small, medium, and large project programs, providing regular tracking and updates to the CEO and general manager.
  • Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis.
  • Performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Adhering to company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
  • Comply with and promote other company and customer policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Actively participate in the onboarding, probationary review, and annual performance review processes.
  • Must have project implementation experience in security surveillance and automation products and solutions or enterprise IT products and services, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, alarm systems, home automation, commercial automation, hospitality automation, IP telephony, video conferencing, video wall solutions, audiovisual solutions, fire safety solutions, structured cabling, building management solutions, and telecommunication services, including telecommunication systems.
  • Develop a company-wide project delivery strategy that reflects the organization’s goals and drives profitability and speed in project delivery.
  • Drive the overall company project management strategy for year-on-year growth.
  • Direct the sales team in generating proposals that define a clear path to client satisfaction and revenue growth.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing 1-to-1 contact between Smart and the customer team on project delivery status and upcoming changes.
  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors, subcontractors, and researchers.
  • Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables.
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to the project work plan.
  • Establish internal guidelines for personal data protection based on applicable legislation and ensure customer data is protected.
  • Participate in local and international forums to keep abreast of new changes in the industry and practices.
  • Promote positive relationships with major customers to understand their needs.
