About You

We are looking for a truly talented head of sales leader who has the energy and vision to inspire others across the business; a collaborative, hands-on leader, growth minded and driven.

You will be highly motivated to adopt, innovate and apply a global client engagement strategy, transforming our capacity and embarking on a contemporary sales journey.

Reporting to the both the Group Chief Sales Officer and the Country Manager, you will get to play a pivotal role in one of the most forward-thinking companies leading Bangladesh’s burgeoning geospatial technology sector.

To be successful in this exciting new senior role with us, you will bring along:

  • At least seven years’ experience working in technology-based business as a sales manager / sales director role.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and excellent proposal writing, and presentation skills is a must – both in English and in Bengali.
  • A natural ability to generate new business within and outside of your network and deal with clients at all levels, and translate client needs into a complete solution.
  • You will be able to develop and execute sales growth plans including sector programs and strategic account plans.
  • A creative and innovative mindset with a strong commercial acumen, able to work autonomously and in a team.
  • Ability to foster a culture of performance within the Sales and Pre-Sales Teams aligned with a company’s strategy framework.
  • Experience working in a structured environment with detailed processes around sales planning and activity management.
  • Experience in using Salesforce.com (Lightning) or similar.
  • Positive attitude, you will need to be persuasive, engaging, and able to develop and position a story.
  • Experience in ERP and other enterprise software technology is preferred.
  • Understanding of location intelligence, GIS and the geospatial industry is desirable, but the appetite to learn is essential.
  • A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering, economics, business administration, or a relevant field of study from a Bengali national public university or foreign university whilst nor necessary will be highly regarded.
  • Personality/behaviour aligns with Esri Bangladesh’s core values.
  • You must hold current permanent and full-time working rights in Bangladesh.

About the Role

We are looking for a master Sales professional, an outstanding negotiator with highly refined written and verbal communication skills to lead our dynamic sales and solutions teams to meet and exceed company goals for profitable revenue growth.

As the Head of Sales for Esri Bangladesh, you will be responsible for providing best-practice sales leadership to achieve new business growth targets in existing and new markets, develop specialised high-performing sales talent and build and maintain long-term client relationships to grow our business – ensuring alignment with the group’s broader strategic plans and growth targets.

Working collaboratively with the whole sales team and all other departments you will draw upon your visionary leadership to ensure the execution of your business strategies are in sync with the overarching corporate strategy focusing on future, large-scale growth.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and expand into high-value market sectors and exceed sales targets.
  • Protect and grow business with existing clients.
  • Accurate pipeline management, reporting and forecasting.
  • Lead an effective Sales Team and Pre-sales Team to execute sector sales plans and effective account plans for existing and new markets.
  • Generate quality proposal / tender documents.
  • Collaborate in defining new products and solutions extensions with Solutions Team and other key stakeholders.
  • Comply with our organisation sales operational and governance requirements.
  • Represent the Company as one of our thought leaders at client engagements and strategic event platforms.
