Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

  • The Head of Sales – Fabrics is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the sales strategy, managing distribution channels, and achieving sales targets within the fabric sector. This individual will oversee the sales team, develop strong relationships with distributors and clients, and ensure the growth and profitability of the company’s fabric sales distribution business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Identify new market opportunities and plan sales initiatives to penetrate new markets.
  • Forecast sales targets and budgets, aligning with the company’s overall goals.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to enhance the team’s skills and productivity.
  • Foster a high-performance sales culture and ensure effective communication within the team.
  • Oversee and optimize distribution channels to ensure efficient and effective delivery of products.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with distribution partners to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Implement customer feedback mechanisms to continually improve service quality.
  • Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences.
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities for senior management.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in fabric materials, technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to align product offerings with market demand.
  • Provide feedback on product design and features based on market trends and customer feedback.
