We are now seeking an experienced, visionary Head of Software Solutions & Project Manager to lead our engineering organization, define technical strategy, and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality, scalable software products.

Job Description

As Head of Software Solutions & Project Manager at IDARE, you will:

• Provide strategic leadership, setting the vision for software architecture, platform standards, and delivery processes.
• Oversee full lifecycle software product development—from requirements gathering and proposal writing through design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Solutions Architecture, Data Science, and Operations to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
• Serve as primary Project Manager for major initiatives, owning schedule, scope, risk management, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
• Build and nurture a high-performing engineering culture that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Define and evangelize best-of-breed architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven, serverless).
• Deeply guide solutions built on Python/Django, ReactJS (or Vue.js), JavaScript/TypeScript, and relational/NoSQL databases.

Engineering Excellence & DevOps

• Establish and enforce coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), infrastructure as code, and production monitoring.
• Champion DevOps practices and drive automation of build, test, and release processes.

Data & Visualization

• Oversee big-data ingestion and processing pipelines; ensure data models scale to multi-terabyte datasets.
• Guide teams in creating interactive dashboards and visualizations that surface AI-driven insights.

Project & People Management

• Act as Project Manager: develop project plans, manage cross-project dependencies, and lead regular status reviews.
• Write and review technical proposals, statements of work, and vendor contracts.
• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and manage engineers and project resources across multiple products.
• Allocate human resources effectively, balance workloads, and resolve team conflicts.

Cross-Time-Zone Collaboration

• Coordinate closely with our USA-based offices; be prepared to work occasional evenings and weekends to support U.S. time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in software product development, including 5+ years in senior leadership or management roles.
• Proven track record owning end-to-end delivery of complex software systems.
• Skilled in Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Exceptional project management, proposal writing, and stakeholder-communication skills.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, motivate, and grow diverse teams.
• Willingness to accommodate U.S. office hours and weekend coordination as needed.

Expert in:

• Software Architecture (distributed systems, microservices)
• Backend & Frontend: Python/Django, ReactJS (or Vue.js), JavaScript/TypeScript
• Database Management: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL), NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra)
• DevOps: CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP
• Big Data & Visualization: Hadoop/Spark, data warehousing, interactive dashboards
