Requirements
Education
- Bachelor/Honors
- Graduation in Business Studies
- CA (CC) with partial qualification preferred
Experience
- 8 to 12 years
Additional Requirements
- 8–12 years of progressive experience in taxation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Prior experience in logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, construction, power, or large-scale service sectors
- Proven expertise in direct and indirect taxes, VAT on logistics services, and customs regulations
Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of Bangladesh Income Tax, VAT, Customs, and Excise laws
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Sage, Tally) and MS Excel
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Responsibilities & Context
You will lead the company’s overall tax strategy and ensure full compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations in Bangladesh.
Work Location: Colloid Center, 206/A, Tejgaon Industrial Area, Dhaka
About the Role
- Tax Strategy & Planning -Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies aligned with the company’s operational and financial goals.
- Tax Compliance Management -Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory returns.
- Tax Accounting & Reporting-Review and approve tax computations, reconciliations, and provisions in financial statements.
- Regulatory Liaison & Representation-Represent the company before NBR and other authorities.
- Advisory & Cross-Functional Collaboration -Advise finance, procurement, sales, and operations teams on tax implications for contracts and agreements.
