- Chef/Assistant Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or bakery.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a high-temperature environment.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills for recipe documentation and inventory management.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Skills: Excellent baking and pastry-making skills, creativity, attention to detail, and strong leadership abilities.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities & Context
Our establishment aims to provide a unique culinary experience with a focus on quality, creativity, and exceptional service. We are looking for a talented Head Pastry Chef to join our team and bring our dessert menu to life.
Job Responsibilities:
- Menu Development: Create and develop a range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods that align with our brand and seasonal ingredients.
- Baking & Preparation: Oversee the daily preparation and production of pastry items, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Leadership: Lead and manage the pastry team, including training and mentoring junior staff and assistants.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of ingredients, order supplies, and manage costs to minimize waste.
- Hygiene & Safety: Ensure that all pastries are prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Innovation: Stay updated with industry trends and introduce new and innovative pastry concepts.
- Assistance: Assist the Pastry Chef in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
- Preparation: Prepare ingredients, follow recipes, and ensure consistency in the quality of the final product.
- Team Support: Work collaboratively with the pastry team and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Inventory: Assist in monitoring inventory levels and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Innovation: Contribute ideas for new pastry items and seasonal menu changes.
