Responsibilities & Context

This is not a U.S. Embassy position. The Housekeeper will be a contract employee of the U.S. Embassy Chief of Mission.

The U.S. Embassy Chief of Mission in Dhaka, Bangladesh seeks to hire a Housekeeper to work at the Official Residence in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The Residence Housekeeper oversees all activities related to the operation and maintenance of the Chief of Mission Residence (CMR). Responsibilities include:

• Assists with women’s dress wear, including Saree draping. Experience with formal/fancy wear (party events clothing) is a plus.
• Greet guests at the door.
• Set and serve the table, polish silver and brass.
• Wash, press clothes, and handle other laundry tasks.
• Assist the cook in preparing food; regularly serve food and drinks.
• Prepare and arrange the residence for representational and non-representational functions.
• A candidate who likes animals is a plus.

Compensation & Other Benefits

Salary: Approx. Tk. 45,000.00 per month [48 hours/6 days (per week)]
