Required technical skills:

  • Experience in using statistical analysis software such as SPSS Strong knowledge on baseline, midline, endline surveys and impact assessment.
  • Knowledge on data visualization software such as Google Looker Studio and PowerBI Knowledge on data management and AI tools
  • Strong knowledge on qualitative study and data quality control.
  • Effective coordination and collaboration with stakeholder, skill training institutions and private sector.
  • Interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Excellent oral writing and speaking skills in both Bangla and English.

Responsibilities & Context

The Hub Meal Officer will work under the USAID Bijoyee Project of BYLC which is the strategic partner of CARE Bangladesh including some other partner organizations. The project focused on a comprehensive initiative focused on empowering and engaging young people in Bangladesh. It aims to address various aspects of youth development, including education, skill building, employment, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, and social inclusion as stated in project documents. The Hub Meal Officer will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and coordination of the project and work collaborative approach with all engaged stakeholders. S/He will ensure its successful execution and timely completion of work under the guidance of BYLC and CARE Bangladesh. This position will be based in the any one spokes (sub hub office) Gazipur/ Manikganj under North Dhaka Hub of USAID Bijoyee Project, BYLC.

  • Contribute to develop and implement the Annual Plans of the USAID Bijoyee Project

Operational: (85%)

  • Support of implementation the M&E systems for USAID Bijoyee Project.
  • Support line manager by designing and developing RM&E/MEAL systems, frameworks, and tools to monitor project activities and outcomes.
  • Ensure data management, data entry, and record-keeping systems to ensure accurate and organized documentation.
  • Capacity to conduct Data Quality Assessment, Data Validation and Data Quality Control.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure timely completion of MEAL activities.
  • Capacity to use monitoring data for organizational and project learning and program improvement.
  • Understanding of MEAL best practices, methodologies, and ethical considerations.
  • Capacity to identify gaps and challenges and assist in developing necessary solutions.
  • Ensure priority of tasks, meet deadlines, and timely completion of project MEAL activities.
  • Ensure monitoring data for organizational learning and program improvement.
  • Capacity to identify gaps and challenges and assist in developing necessary solutions.

People Management and Relationship Building: (10%)

  • Team management/ Communication/ Collaboration and Networking/ Monitoring and Evaluation/ Team Building
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the RM&E Manager, MEAL Manager, program team, and other stakeholders.
