We serve nearly 5 million people in 16 countries, focusing on food security, child protection, education, maternal and child health, microfinance, vocational training, clean water and sanitation and disaster response. World Concern in Bangladesh is searching an energetic, smart & potential candidate for the following key position based in Dhaka. Detail of Job Description and other necessary requirement for the position is described as below:

Location: This position is Dhaka based. May require occasional field visits (20%).

Responsible to: Country Director.

Direct Reports to: Admin & Government Liaison Manager, HR &

Admin Assistant.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Manage the entire recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent

Employee Relations:

  • Address employee grievances and resolve conflicts
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement
  • Providing spiritual counseling to staff and participating in morning devotions in different programs as advised by the Country Director.

Compliance and Policy Management:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures

Performance Management:

  • Implement performance management systems to evaluate and improve employee performance
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Design and manage compensation and benefits programs
  • Conduct market research to ensure competitive pay structures
  • Responsible to prepare monthly payroll for disbursement
  • Ensure staff care and support creating a safe organizational environment

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills
  • Support career development and succession planning
  • Explore connections with new training institutions for staffs’ capacity
  • Organizing on-the-job training for WCB staff in consultation with all Program Heads and Country Director
  • Processing bonds and taking signatures from the staff that is embarking for training abroad.
  • Developing and maintaining an up-to-date inventory of training of all WCB staff

Strategic HR Planning:

  • Align HR strategies with business goals to support organizational growth
  • Partner with senior leadership team (SLT) to drive HR initiatives
  • Keeping all personnel records up-to-date and provide necessary information regarding staff as needed.
  • Introduce software based Human Resources systems as directed by HQ-WC

Administrative & Team Oversight:

  • Coordinate and streamline administrative procedures and systems
  • Supervise administrative staff and ensure daily office tasks are completed efficiently
  • Supervising the team for carrying out their duties and responsibilities as per their job description
  • Ensure Blocked Party Screening process within the organizational procedure regularly
  • Office Management:
  • Leadership oversight of all office supplies inventory
  • Oversee facilities services, maintenance activities, and liaise with external service providers
  • Maintaining & developing cordial relationship with the landlords for getting the required work done as per agreements. Supervising payment of all rents and utility bills based on contracts.
  • Ensure S&S of the offices and the staffs
  • IT supports are managed well in all the offices in due course

Budget and Financial Management:

  • Monitor costs and expenses to assist in budget preparation.
  • Handle clerical accounting and general office duties as needed.
  • Ensure the Government approvals are obtained on time for all projects.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Facilitate communication throughout the company to ensure smooth information flow.
  • Organize and supervise other office activities such as event planning and recycling.
  • Liaison with the Legal Advisor in following up of the court cases.
  • Join Monthly Program Review meeting (MPR) with reports as required by HQ.
  • Any other duties assigned by Country Director.
  • 15-20% travel requirement mostly in domestic purposes and international (once a year).

As part of this role, the job holder will be expected to adhere to and support World Concern’s Safety and Security Policy and systems as part of their day-to-day duties, and comply, at all times, to safety and security protocols and directives, including reporting. Staff must maintain situational and self-awareness and be aware of the safety-security related consequences of their actions upon themselves, their team and the organization as a whole.

Compensation & Other Benefits

  • Salary Range: Consolidated pay of Tk.93,000/- (Depends on Candidate’s required and preferred education, skills & experience, software knowledge and other considerations as per Job Description) on three months’ probation period.

  • Other Benefits: As per Organizational Policy after Confirmation which includes Yearly increment, Provident fund, Gratuity, Festival Bonus, Life Insurance, Paternity/ Maternity leave, weekly 2-day holiday, mobile bill, travel allowance and others as per Organization policy.
