Responsibilities & Context
- Responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of HVAC systems in compliance with cGMP to ensure appropriate environmental conditions in manufacturing areas.
- Ensure that HVAC systems meet regulatory requirements (WHO, GMP) to provide optimum air quality and temperature control, which are critical for pharmaceutical production.
- Conduct regular inspection and testing of HVAC systems for performance, efficiency, and safety.
- Work closely with the QA, Maintenance, and Production teams to align HVAC operations with pharmaceutical production needs, ensuring optimal cleanroom environments and adherence to industry standards.
- Supervise regular preventive maintenance and calibration of HVAC systems in accordance with the manufacturer`s recommendations and industry best practices to minimize downtime.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of HVAC system installations, calibrations, performance testing, maintenance activities, and compliance reports for internal auditing and regulatory inspections.
- Perform risk assessments for HVAC systems and propose strategies for the prevention of potential environmental hazards.
- Provide training and technical support to the engineering team and operators on HVAC system operation, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting.
- Provide regular updates to the Head of Engineering on HVAC-related activities, issues, and improvements within the pharmaceutical facility.
