Experience:
- At least 05 years experiences in providing IT technical support, preferably with NGO context and environment
- Any IT certifications such as MCSA/ MCP/ CCNA/ A+/ Network+
Knowledge and Skills:
- Require knowledge of basic IT systems, internal controls and procedures
- Must have thorough knowledge of and commitment of World Vision, its Ministries, Vision and Mission Statement, Core Values, Statement of Faith, Covenant of Partnership
- Thorough knowledge and high-level skills and experiences of computer hardware and software installation, configuration and maintenance.
- Technical proficiency in the following areas: Windows Server 2008, Active Directory, SCCM, VMware/Hyper-V, Windows Terminal Services, Other Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Windows 2008 Server, Windows XP, and Windows 7)
- Basic understanding of commonly used network protocols (TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, VPN, FTP etc) as well as routing, switching and firewalling.
- Knowledge of any of the following is a plus: CA ArcServe/TSM, Microsoft IIS 7.0, Lotus Dominos Server, Symantec Anti-Virus Corporate Edition, Anti-Spam/Anti-Virus.
- Knowledge on Lotus Dominos and Lotus Notes is highly preferable.
- Knowledge on MIS/DB administration, storage system and clustering
- Demonstrated fluency in both written and spoken English
Enviornment:
- Should be able to travel and work in remote locations up to 50% of time
- Work will require visits to the field Offices.
- Diverse language group and some work areas have security issues and work under deadline driven work-load.
Responsibilities & Context
Job Context:
To provide overall ICT NOC (Network Operation Centre) support at the regional level such as End User Support, Network Support/ Administration, System Support/ Administration, DB Support/ Administration, MIS Support/ Administration, Security Administration, Project management and IT Asset management as per NO direction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement IT policies and guidelines to ensure the appropriate use of IT equipment and services in compliance with WVI Partnership Standard.
- Provide IT technical support and training to users in ADPs and Analysis of User Requirement with Technical Reporting to the Managers and NO IT Team.
- Ensure IT capacity building through training to Project staff and dissemination of IT Environment, Safety and Security.
- Over all Monitoring and Provide System related Intelligence, Forecasting about Users, Network, Risks and Facilities.
- Regular Scheduled Maintenance of Servers, Network Equipment and Power Backups.
- Provide on demand Day to Day Support to the ADPs and remote Offices.
- Provide Secure Network design, equipment recommendation for best fit of organizational budget verses needs.
