Responsibilities & Context

Ensure execution of cutting production plan as on time accurate cutting and appropriate input supply by reviewing buyer guidelines, SOP & flow-chart, appropriate placement of team members, guiding on work processes & critical points, close monitoring on execution stages, collect bottle neck information, taking corrective actions, transparent reporting, training team members, motivating production and relevant persons toward timely execution with Quality at Source and leading the Cutting team. Work closely with all concerned departments to maintain a friendly and motivated team to ensure smooth workflow.

Develop, review, and implement departmental SOPs, flowcharts, and quality policies.
Set monthly and yearly targets such as cutting efficiency rate, DHU rate, final inspection pass rate, and more. Communicate goals clearly through meetings, notices, and training sessions.
Track performance daily, monthly, and annually; initiate corrective actions when targets are not met and maintain proper documentation.
Collect cutting production plans and booking sheets to prepare the master cutting plan aligned with shipment schedules. Share daily, weekly, and monthly plans with the team to ensure clarity and timely execution.
Attend Pre-Production (PP) Meetings, take notes, and ensure departmental execution based on PP insights.
Ensure all pre-cutting procedures are followed, including dia, GSM checks, fabric relaxation, shrinkage and fit tests, shade segregation, and trial cutting.
Review and approve size set, dummy, marker placement, and trial cutting with QC. Resolve issues before starting bulk.
Supervise the entire cutting process: fabric relaxation, layering, cutting, numbering, bundling, shade-to-shade matching, fusing, and sewing input.
Operate Kanban/Supermarket system for efficient workflow and on-time input to sewing lines.
Ensure accurate marker ratio with CAD; communicate early on any overconsumption or fabric issues.
Coordinate with Planning, Warehouse, QA, Fabric, and Print/Embroidery departments to ensure timely receipt of approved fabric and smooth input/output processes.
Monitor print and embroidery dispatch and receive timelines in coordination with respective units.
Assign responsibilities, deploy manpower effectively, and provide regular supervision and motivation.
Ensure proper maintenance, usage, and traceability of cutting equipment, raw materials, and tools.
Monitor manpower hours and ensure they remain within the declared limits.
Maintain all cutting-related records including: Daily production reports, Fabric consumption and receipt logs, Print/Embroidery tracking, MMR (Material Movement Report), Prepare performance and efficiency reports for management.
Identify and resolve technical problems, quality issues, and process bottlenecks.
Implement best practices in fabric handling, material storage, and utilization to reduce waste and lower CPM (Cost Per Minute).
Lead improvement initiatives to increase cutting accuracy and efficiency.
Work with HR for team evaluations, training, motivation, and counseling.
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and skill enhancement.
Ensure adherence to company policies, compliance requirements, and maintain discipline in the department.
