Responsibilities & Context

Ensure Sewing production quality by reviewing buyer guidelines, SOP & flow-chart, placement of team members, guiding on work processes & critical points, close monitoring on execution stages, collecting defect reports, taking corrective actions, motivating QA & production persons toward Quality at Source and leading the Sewing Quality Assurance team.

• Supervise the entire sewing floor to ensure adherence to process quality standards, critical operation handling, and alignment with approved mock-ups and tech packs.
• Lead defect tracking, identify top recurring defects daily, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with technical teams.
• Conduct first bulk inspections alongside QA/production heads; validate inline garment measurements, stitching quality, and construction integrity before line approval.
• Verify that operators follow updated SOPs for each style, with proper machine settings, attachments, and critical operation handling based on tech pack requirements.
• Monitor and work to reduce DHU (Defects per Hundred Units) by analyzing line performance, rejection trends, and operator-specific quality issues.
• Evaluate sewing layout efficiency and risk areas during style handover; ensure quality is embedded from the first piece through the full run.
• Maintain documentation for internal/external audits, track all quality KPIs, and submit concise daily/weekly reports to QA and factory management.
• Actively engage in quality improvement projects, guide operators on quality checkpoints, and work with mechanics/technicians to reduce process-related defects.
• DHU %, Rejection Rate, First Pass Yield (FPY), Right First Time (RFT).
• Identify potential problem areas before production begins.
• Floor-based real-time quality problem solving.
• Contribute to system-level quality improvements.
