Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation Science (OT/PT/P&O, SLT), Disability Studies, Inclusive Education.
• Preferable – Master’s in a relevant discipline.

Experience

• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  NGO, Development Agency

Additional Requirements

• Age at least 18 years

• At least 2 year’s experience of working on the same thematic preferably in development and humanitarian context.

Other Desirable Requirements:

• Experience and comprehensive understanding of disability issues, awareness-raising, and training material development/training implementation.
• Experience of working in a remote community setting is an advantage.Proven analytical and planning skills.
• Knowledge of disability and development issues in Bangladesh.Have the capacity to maintain close relationships with partners, stakeholders, and clients.
• Experience in contributing to data collection and indicator tracking within development projects or programs.
• Computer knowledge (MS office package- both in English and Bangla).
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written Bangla and English.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural team environment.
• Availability to travel to remote areas and spend time at the field level.
• Strong teamwork approach

Responsibilities & Context

HI seeks an Inclusion Officer for its “FCDO NABAPALLAB Project- Nature-Based Adaptation towards Prosperous and Adept Lives & Livelihoods in Bangladesh,” with Handicap International—Humanity & Inclusion.

Job Location: Moulovibazar, Sylhet

Type of Contract: Fixed-Term

Duration of the Contract: As early as possible to 31 December 2026.

Line Manager: Project Manager

Under the responsibility of the Project Manager, the Inclusion Officer contributes to the implementation of the mandate and the 10-year strategy of Humanity & Inclusion in the country where s/he is based. The Inclusion Officer /Inclusion Officer-Mainstreaming contributes to the implementation of his/her project, ensuring the optimal quality and the impact of the project. S/he works closely with the programme technical team.
