Responsibilities & Context

Background

RDRS Bangladesh, in collaboration with Kathmandu University, School of Arts, Nepal, has been implementing the project ‘Promoting Gender Equality and Social Inclusion in Schools Building on What Children Value and Aspire To Do and Be’. This initiative covers Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh and focuses on fostering inclusive environments in schools, particularly within the host communities in Cox’s Bazar. The project emphasizes integrating gender equality and social inclusion principles into school policies and practices.

To enhance this mission, the recruitment of an Inclusion Specialist is essential to address the gaps in inclusion practices and provide expert guidance for creating inclusive classrooms and policies.

Objective of the Role:

The Inclusion Specialist will provide expert guidance and leadership to enhance inclusive education practices in schools within Cox’s Bazar host communities. The role focuses on promoting gender equality and social inclusion by building capacity, fostering collaboration, and delivering tailored training programs for educators and stakeholders. Through assessments, workshops, and strategic recommendations, the position aims to ensure that schools embrace diversity and create equitable learning environments aligned with the goals of the GESI project.

Compensation & Other Benefits

  • Salary: BDT 100,000 (Consolidated)
