  • At least 5 Years working experiences in relevant inclusive education areas with government and non-government primary education authorities
  • Strong interpersonal/relationship-building skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel including use of digital technologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills both in Bangla and English
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure together with SMSA team
  • Ability to do multitasks together
  • Ability to work independently and within matrix project and program teams
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Culturally sensitive and respectful towards human diversity support needs

Responsibilities & Context

***  Job Description:

  • Visit the government primary schools in different sub-districts and determine the accessibility and reasonable accommodations need based support of the interventions school compounds including, the classroom, playground, toilets, ramp and other facilities;
  • Develop various data collection instruments (FGD questionnaire, In-depth interview guide) and their contextualization prior to field test with project participants;
  • Conduct orientation sessions on accessibility and reasonable accommodation in the classrooms of government primary schools and prepare and submit necessary reports;
  • Refine applicable existing policies/guidelines on Universal Design for Learning and Reasonable Accommodation in collaboration with Research Triangle Institute (RTI) International;
  • Develop and maintain the database of children with disabilities, who need referral services in project locations and follow up on the progress with field staff and other important stakeholders;
  • Assess and analyze the technical knowledge gaps of the School Community Officers (SCOs) and School Community Facilitators (SCFs) in implementing field-level interventions and provide them with need-based capacity-building support;
  • Develop various narrative reports highlighting the changes due to the project interventions and documentation of good practices, case stories and target populations feedback for knowledge management;
  • Joint monitoring visits individually-with the SMSA team, lead project partners and other sub-partners on the field interventions in the project locations to identify the possible bottlenecks and their way out;
  • Maintain regular contact with local-level govt. education officials, relevant NGOs-OPDs, CDD’s other projects partners’ staff, self-help groups and other disability-like-minded networks working for the promotion of children-persons with disability related services in the community;
  • Steer different meetings and facilitate training and workshops in conjunction with project partners on Universal Design Learning (UDL), Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and other priority topics of inclusive education;
  • Support the provision of technical guidance to the PM and SMSA field staff in effective delivery of program implementation on time, review actual vs target, review budget vs actual expenses, and advise corrective measures: review of work plan and prepare acceleration plan;
  • Support programme quality of Shobai Miley Shikhi Project;
  • Assist SMSA PM and project focal in developing program implementation plan.

    Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to CDD’s Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants;
  • Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project;
  • Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.

    Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform any other responsibility/ special duty delegated by project and CDD management.

  • CDD is accepting application for the position of ‘Inclusive Education Intervention Specialist’ under a project USAID Shobai Miley Shikhi to be implemented with the support of RTI International. The duration of the project is till 31st December 2026.
