The primary purpose of Innovation Associate, Marketing is to act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of travel-related arrangements. Additionally, s/he is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that attract and retain clients, leveraging data insights to refine sales approaches and identify new business opportunities. By maintaining a strong focus on both customer engagement and marketing effectiveness.

Job Description

Customer engagement:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring prompt and effective communication to enhance customer loyalty and retention.
  • Engaging with clients in describing the experience and assist them in setting up the necessary arrangements, including, flights, meals, event preferences, transportation, accommodation, and activities.
  • Understanding potential clients’ preferences, budgets, and travel objectives to customise an itinerary better suited for them.
  • Monitoring of the CRM software, booking system, and communication tools.
  • Analysing client trends to understand the performance of promotional activities, refine sales strategies and develop new business opportunities.
  • Following up with clients to ensure the client’s needs are fulfilled, and processes are efficiently performed.

Marketing:

  • Identifying marketing strategies and promotional touchpoints for potential clients, and generating a marketing strategy based on their demographics.
  • Maintaining a close relationship with the internal communications team to plan marketing-related activities.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to develop digital and physical promotional items and campaigns.
  • Managing different marketing channels to reach potential clients, including social media, email marketing, and online advertising.
  • Monitoring marketing-related expenses to ensure they align with the approved budget.
  • Tracking and reporting on the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives, website traffic, social media engagement, and other digital metrics to refine strategies.
  • Maintaining thorough documentation of project updates and adjustments and roll-out of implementation activities.

Safeguarding Responsibilities

  • Establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and implemented in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Additional Job Requirements

  • Understanding of the travel and hospitality industry, including current trends, market dynamics, and customer preferences.
  • In-depth knowledge of community tourism’s services, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Understanding of marketing concepts, strategies, and tools, including digital marketing, content creation, and campaign management.
  • Ability to identify potential clients, understand their needs, and convert leads into sales.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Creative thinking to develop new ideas and approaches for engaging clients and marketing products.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s or equivalent degree preferably in in tourism or hospitality management

Experience Requirement

0- 2 years of customer engagement and marketing experience, preferably in the tourism or hospitality industry..
