  • Competent in NTVQF Level-2/3(Minimum) for Mobile Phone Servicing trade from NSDA/BTEB.
  • Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with people at various levels.
  • Good team work skills with the ability to work with different and sometime conflicting agendas.
  • Deep understanding and practical skill on the relevant trade.
  • Knowledge in classroom/ Lab management.
  • Ability in resolving conflict and having strong verbal communication.
  • Strong in Presentation Skills, Motivating Others, Listening, Collaborative Teaching Knowledge about confidentiality and dealing with uncertainty.
  • Ability of contingency management in classroom/any other official affairs.
  • Strong and well-developed analytical skills coupled with experience in developing CBLM, Schedule as per BTEB curriculum.
  • IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn and use any software adopted by Muslim Aid.
  • Self-motivated and Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
  • Ability to work without supervision.

Responsibilities & Context

The responsibilities of an Instructor-Mobile Phone Servicing (MPS) include planning, developing, and delivering lessons to the TVET learners in the institutions along with monitoring the learning progress and skills enhancement of the students so that they can be placed in certain jobs.

Academic:

  • Plan the actual course of study by developing modifications for several levels of academic ability and previous achievement.
  • Develops and presents lesson plans by using a variety of techniques, including lectures, projects, exhibits, field trips, audio-visual, computers, and the internet.
  • Conduct training classes/sessions by planning and developing course curricular according to the guidelines or Competency Standards/course curricula and other training and learning materials.
  • Monitors, assists, corrects, and grades student results by preparing assignments and tests for preparation and homework considering formative and summative assessment.
  • Ensure inclusive training delivery through engaging all learners actively.
  • Support to In-charge of the Training Centre/Principal to communicate with BTEB for the summative assessment and ensure assessment facilities.
  • Maintains order in the classroom by counseling students with behavioral problems; and consulting with other professionals where there appears to be evidence of learning disabilities, drug, or alcohol abuse, problems of social adjustment, or child abuse.
  • Provide extra care for weak students/slow learners. Prepare case study when necessary.
  • Intercepts deterioration in achievement by counseling students with academic difficulties; drawing on the institute system’s resources for additional academic assistance.
  • Assist in job placement of students who graduated from the trade.

    Health & Safety:

  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy educational environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; and complying with legal regulations.

    Record keeping:

  • Keep students all information and provide it to management as needed.
  • Keeps parents informed by maintaining records of academic performance, attendance, and social acclimation; reporting on all elements of student development at parent-teacher conferences, both regularly scheduled and as-needed.
  • Regularly updates of trade-wise inventory, and keep individual asset records including tools & equipment, training & education materials, and training raw materials to ensure their proper utilization.
  • Maintain the practical equipment.

    Others:

  • Motivating students and providing career guidelines.
  • Updates job knowledge by attending faculty meetings; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances Institute reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Maintain Child Protection policy and community approach.
  • Maintain networks and liaisons with related local government offices, other institutions, workshops and industries.
  • Ensure the students’ presence in classes and follow up for irregular students Ready for work as per management decision.
  • Provide support to Management for student enrolment.
