Responsibilities & Context
- Generating ideas for stories or taking a brief from a news editor/producer.
- Researching stories through personal contacts, the internet, and other valid sources
- Determine a story’s emphasis, length and format, and organizes material accordingly
- Recording interviews – in person, or through telephone or studio links and conducting live as per requirement
- Produces and presents reports for all platforms of TBN24.
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned by TBN24 authorities.
- Attending and reporting on events that are of interest to the public.
- Interviewing eye-witnesses, authorities, and people of interest in news stories.
- Traveling to events and ensuring the proper maintenance, security, and care of recording equipment.
- Working collaboratively with cameramen and other members of a reporting team.
- Representing the organization at conferences, press briefings, events, and interviews.
