Education

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science from any reputed university

Experience

Additional Requirements

  • Age at least 18 years
  • Females are preferable
  • Minimum 1 years of work experience in IYCF / Nutrition program.
  • Familiar with local language / candidate from Chittagong region will be preferable
  • Working experience with ACF / Refugee camp will be benefit.
  • Strong understanding and field level experience of Refugee camps and recommended implementation guideline.
  • Proven experience in team management, supervision, reporting, etc)

Responsibilities & Context

Objective 1: Enhance Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) and Management of At-Risk Infants Under Six Months (MAMI) Practices

  • Conduct rapid and comprehensive assessments of IYCF practices and identify at-risk infants under six months using standardized protocols and tools.
  • Provide evidence-based counselling and practical support to promote, protect, and support breastfeeding and appropriate complementary feeding practices.
  • Lead the management of non-breastfed infants by adhering to established guidelines and coordinating seamless referrals between Integrated Nutrition Facilities (INF), Stabilization Centers (SC), and health posts.
  • Strengthen community-level engagement through caregiver education, behavior change communication, and capacity-building initiatives to improve IYCF/E and MAMI practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of counselling interventions, ensuring accurate documentation of assessments, counselling sessions, and referral processes.
  • Collaborate with other nutrition staff to ensure the integration and coordination of IYCF and MAMI interventions within broader nutrition programs.

Objective 2: Proactively support ACFs commitments to gender equality, child protection and disability sensitivity report.

  • Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies, asking questions and/or for support when necessary;
  • Implement all work related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries;
  • Ensure the incorporation of PSEA and gender equity principles in all policies and activities;
  • Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.
