Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field;

Additional Requirements

• 0-2 years of experience in the relevant field is required;
• Knowledge on Google Earth Pro, Google My map etc;
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles, methods, and equipment;
• Good understanding of land surveying techniques, such as boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction layout surveys;
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in both field and office environments;
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey surveying information effectively;
• Strong ability of report writing;
• Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

SMEC is a global development and engineering consultancy with a strong presence in the South & Central Asia region. We are currently looking a Junior Engineer- Survey to join our subsidiary ACE Consultants Ltd.

Junior Engineer- Survey

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist senior engineers and surveyors in conducting reconnaissance survey, preliminary site visit, secondary data collection from different organizations etc. as per project requirement;
• Supervise Topographic survey, Geotechnical Investigation, Transportation survey, Environmental survey, Social/Resettlement survey etc. and manage team;
• Assist in setting up and maintaining survey control points, benchmarks, and reference markers;
• Responsible for updating daily progress of different survey works;
• Help prepare and maintain accurate survey records, field notes, and digital data files;
• Assist in performing quality control checks on survey data and identify any discrepancies or errors;
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure surveying activities align with project requirements and timelines;
• Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned by senior engineers or project managers.
