Requirements
Education
The candidate must have B.Sc (Hon’s) in Agriculture/ Agronomy/ Soil Science/ Horticulture/ Crop Botany/ Agricultural Economics/ Agricultural Extension/ Entomology/ Plant Pathology/ Seed Technology/ Environmental science with minimum CGPA 2.50 or 2nd class/ division or equivalent result in all academic examinations

- Excellent in report writing, budgeting, work prioritization, time management as well as the ability to adapt to work under pressure and challenging environment
Responsibilities & Context
- Survey primary block and confirm farmer selection
- Prepare block approval documents and timely submit to the supervisor
- Complete deed meeting and act facilitators training of contact growers
- Justify foundation seed and inputs (Micro nutrient and pesticide) distribution properly within contact growers
- Ensure plantation of potato seed in all the responsible block timely through the contact growers as per the target
- Check rouging, spraying, intercultural activities and report to the supervisor
- Ensure to purchase best potato seed with 50% A grade of total target from contract growers and keep minimum non seed % but not more than 2%
- Take steps to reduce isolation plot compared to last year and optimize labor cost as per budget
- Build up relationship with farmers, community and team members for ensuring the healthy work environment
- Check stock, documents and maintain production related materials; take initiative to save product for next year
- Reduce the cost of spray machines, operational cost and share the block related information share with supervisor
- Make report and share with supervisor time to time
- Act as a mentor to identify the development area of the team; make succession plan through coaching, training, counseling and feedback
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
- Perform any other jobs as assigned by the management
