Responsibilities & Context
As a Junior Site Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the execution of construction projects, ensuring quality control, and maintaining site safety.
You will work under the supervision of senior engineers and project managers to learn and implement construction best practices.
This role is ideal for fresh diploma holders who are eager to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering and contribute to infrastructure development.
- Assist in overseeing day-to-day construction activities on-site.
- Ensure that construction work follows design drawings, specifications, and project plans.
- Coordinate with site workers, subcontractors, and supervisors to maintain workflow.
- Monitor construction materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Conduct on-site tests and inspections under senior engineers’ guidance.
- Identify defects or deviations and report them for corrective action.
- Take site measurements and maintain records for project progress reports.
- Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports on work progress.
- Maintain proper documentation of site activities and materials usage.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure workers adhere to safety guidelines.
- Identify potential hazards and report them to senior engineers or safety officers.
- Ensure compliance with local construction laws and environmental regulations.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors for material deliveries.
- Assist in resolving site-related issues by communicating with engineers and project managers.
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on project status.
- Gain practical exposure to construction methods and techniques.
- Learn how to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
- Develop problem-solving and project management skills under senior guidance
