Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing/ Merchandising, Supply Chain or related fields.
MBA in Business, International Trade, or Apparel Manufacturing/ Merchandising preferred.

Experience

At least 15 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Woven Manufacturing

Additional Requirements

Age At least 40 years

We are looking for candidates with proven experience handling UK buyers directly, preferably George (Asda) and Marks & Spencer (M&S). Experience with other major UK, EU & USA retailers will also be considered.

Responsibilities & Context

Manage UK based key buyer accounts by leading end-to-end merchandising and relationship management to ensure business growth, repeat orders, and long-term strategic partnerships.

Drive seasonal product development and commercial negotiations for UK markets to achieve competitive pricing, targeted margins, and alignment with buyer expectations and trends.

Ensure OTIF execution of orders by overseeing critical path from sampling to shipment to meet strict delivery timelines and service level agreements of European retailers.

Control sourcing and supply chain readiness by ensuring timely availability of compliant fabrics and trims aligned with EU regulations (REACH, sustainability standards) to achieve right-first-time execution.

Lead cross-functional coordination across Planning, Production, Quality, Technical, and Commercial teams to ensure smooth execution aligned with buyer requirements and factory capacity.

Ensure full compliance with UK buyer standards including social, ethical, sustainability, and quality protocols to maintain high audit ratings and brand KPI performance.

Develop and lead merchandising teams by building capability in handling European buyers, improving accountability, and ensuring high-performance execution culture.

Drive account profitability and performance monitoring by managing KPIs such as revenue, contribution margin, OTIF, and capacity utilization to achieve business targets and continuous improvement.
