Job Context:

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer, and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of the entire human community. DAM has been contributing to the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development.

The Health and WASH Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 8 institutions and 17 donor-funded projects. Mayer Hashi General Hospital and Diagnostics Center situated in Ashulia, Dhaka is one of the institutions of the Health Sector, aiming to provide high-standard quality healthcare services to the general population at a reasonable price. It’s a well-equipped diagnosis service along with a pharmacy setup. DAM Health Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of Lab Technician at Mayer Hashi General Hospital and Diagnostics Center, Ashulia, Dhaka.

Location: The position will be based at Mayer Hashi General Hospital and Diagnostics Center, Ashulia, Dhaka.

Job Responsibility:

• Collecting samples for lab tests as per rules and completing tests in a standardized manner;
• Completing the test within the stipulated time and preparing the report;
• Collecting various information in the register book as per protocol;
• Keeping the laboratories clean;Maintain confidentiality of all patient information;
• Ensuring infection prevention through proper lab waste management;
• Maintain laboratory inventory;
• Assess and maintain laboratory equipment;
• Collecting data in various registers and formats and assisting in the preparation of Reports;
• To carry out other instructions of higher authorities in the interest of the organization.
