Responsibilities & Context
- Stay informed about advances in laboratory technology, methods, and best practices, participating in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Assist in the development, validation, and implementation of new laboratory tests, procedures, and protocols as needed·
- Ensure machineries and equipment are functioning properly·
- Train junior staff regarding lab procedures and protocols.
- Maintain proper records and statistical details of the tests that are run·
- A thorough understanding and proficiency in conducting chemical analyses of body fluids and must be able to make reports.
- Participate in training and professional development programs·
- Maintain professionalism while respecting and upholding the rights and dignity of patients.
- Abide by all policies within the department.·
- Inform patient if there is any delay in timetable.
- Supervise the timetable to align with patients’ arrivals and consultants’ prescribed schedules on a daily basis.
- Additionally, counsel and reassure patients if the schedule cannot be maintained as promised.
