• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in reputed Hospital laboratory management or a related field
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, clinical diagnostics, and quality control protocols.
• Experience in managing laboratory staff, workflow, and schedules.
• Expertise in handling and maintaining advanced laboratory equipment.
• Understanding of laboratory accreditation standards (ISO 15189, NABL).
• Ability to develop and enforce biosafety and infection control measures.
• Proficiency in laboratory data management and reporting
• Excellent problem-solving and leadership skill.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
• Experience in preparing analytical reports, charts, and presentations using MS Word and Excel & Others.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
• Strong knowledge of hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, and molecular diagnostics.
• Experience in handling automated laboratory analyzers and point-of-care testing devices.
• Understanding of blood banking procedures and transfusion services (if applicable).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, if required.

Responsibilities & Context

Aurora Specialized Hospital, located in Kakrail, Dhaka, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced in Reputed Hospital professional to join our team as a Laboratory In-Charge. This role offers an opportunity to lead laboratory operations, ensuring high-quality diagnostic services in a modern healthcare setting.

Location: 19/1 Kakrail, Dhaka-1000.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and oversee all laboratory operations, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of test results.
• Develop, implement, and enforce laboratory protocols in compliance with hospital policies and international healthcare standards.
• Manage and train laboratory staff, including medical technologists, phlebotomists, and support personnel.
• Ensure accurate diagnostic testing and quality control, reducing errors and maintaining reliability of test results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration, servicing, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor and manage laboratory inventory, ensuring adequate stock of reagents, chemicals, and consumables.
• Enforce strict biosafety and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile and hazard-free environment.
• Collaborate with physicians and medical professionals to support patient care through timely and accurate diagnostics.
• Prepare and submit laboratory performance reports, maintaining accurate records of tests conducted and operational challenges.
• Use MS Word and Excel to generate analytical reports, charts, and presentations for management and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with national and international laboratory accreditation standards (e.g., ISO 15189, NABL).
• Assist in budgeting and financial management for laboratory operations, ensuring cost-effective procurement and resource allocation.
• Implement and monitor new laboratory technologies to enhance diagnostic accuracy and efficiency.
• Handle emergency laboratory situations, ensuring immediate response to critical patient cases.
• Supervise sample collection, storage, and disposal, following biosafety and ethical guidelines.
• Develop research and training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of laboratory staff.
