Responsibilities & Context
Green Delta Insurance PLC is seeking a talented and experienced Lead, Financial Reporting to join our Finance and Accounts team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in financial reporting to conduct detailed variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance. You’ll Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting
- Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and accounting standards.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
2. Operational Management
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Finance and Accounts department, ensuring smooth execution of all financial activities.
- Supervise and guide the team in handling accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations.
- Monitor and optimize cash flow management processes.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Track financial performance against budgets and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
4. Process Improvement and Compliance
- Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and implement best practices.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
- Liaise with auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders to address financial inquiries and audits.
5. Investment and Asset Management
- Oversee documentation and fund transfers related to investments, such as Fixed Deposit Receipts (FDRs) and bonds.
- Manage records of investment documents and review income calculations.
- Provide strategic recommendations on investment decisions based on market trends.
6. Team Leadership
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a high-performing work environment.
- Delegate tasks effectively to ensure timely completion of departmental goals.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
7. Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the point of contact for banks, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
- Communicate financial results and insights to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational objectives.
