  • Expertise in stakeholder management and capacity building.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, report writing, anaytics and change management.
  • Ability to represent BRAC to different forum, governments, partners, donors, communities and
  • other stakeholders.
  • Minimum 7 years’ working experiences with strong skills and capacity in concept note & proposal development, budget preparation, grant management, capacity development preparation, project /programme planning, donor liaison, fund raising from diversified donors.

Responsibilities & Context

JOB PURPOSE

The Lead will be responsible for Fund Raising, Partnership and Grant Management. This role involves the development of capacity statement, concept notes, project proposals, theory of change, result framework, workplan and budget preparation in collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders along with development of BHP’s fund raising strategy and identifying potential donors to meet the funding gap as a continuous process. As a leadership role, this position will oversee BHP’s fund raising initiatives and keep coordination within BHP and BRAC and with donors, external stakeholders and government.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop fundraising strategies for successful engagement with donors, government and corporate sector.
  • Lead proposal development process, including designing the technical and financial aspects,
  • proposal team coordination and workplan, timely response to identified opportunities,
  • submission, as well as strategic pre-positioning and post-submission negotiations.
  • Build functional rapport with existing and potential donors, funding organizations, corporate
  • houses to explore new avenues of collaboration and strengthen existing partnerships with donors, government and bi-lateral organizations.
  • Liaise with BRAC GRP and BRAC affiliates in USA, UK and the Netherlands and with BRAC
  • International.
  • Create and maintain database of donors’ agencies, donor organizations and corporate houses
  • along with their interest areas for potential funding opportunities.
  • Identify fund raising opportunities such as announced call for proposals (CFP/RFP), request for
  • submission of EOIs, etc. from different bilateral and multilateral donors and other funding
  • organizations.
  • Oversee optimal budgeting, forecasting, burn rates of the Annual Operating Plan for BHP in
  • compliance with NGO Affairs Bureau (NGOAB), donor and BRAC standards.
  • Ensure grant management processes are in place enabling timely reporting, responding to donor queries, participating donor meetings and serving as a gate-keeper on the quality of grant management, reporting and supervision of team.
  • Leverage use of technology and social media where possible to initiate and improve fundraising activities as required within and outside the organization.
  • Provide oversight and conceptual clarity for managing new initiatives, pilot projects and provide feedback to implementation team to ensure objectivity.
  • Support BHP MEAL team for ensuring data quality, track results, provide feedback to programme
  • teams, ensure timely reporting to donors and partners as per result framework/ logframe. .
  • Work collaboratively with BRAC fundraising focal persons across the organization to manage
  • existing tools and develop others to ensure high quality business development practices.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
