Requirements

Education

A young law background University Graduate/Certification of Bar Council will be preferable.

Experience

Additional Requirements

  • Sufficient knowledge on case investigation, interaction with victim, documentation and referral service work.
  • Minimum 1 to 2 year working experience at any legal aid NGO / legal support institutions. / Law firms and familiarize with the labour courts
  • Sufficient Knowledge on labour law and labour rules of the country.
  • Pro-active and ability to deliver the work on time.
  • Sound IT skills (MS Office applications) and progress tracking of the cases/
  • Good command in English and Bangla (speaking and writing)
  • Committed to work for full project period (after successful provision period)
  • Ability to follow service rules and policies at the OSHE foundation.
  • Ability to maintain professional secrecy and loyalty while work at OSHE.

Responsibilities & Context

Bangladesh Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Foundation (OSHE foundation), a specialized national NGO is inviting application from qualified hard-working person wish to dedicatedly serve in the area of textile and apparel industry, labour and occupational accident & disease monitoring.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Develop a sustainable legal aid service protocol, strategy, structure and referrals services at the OSHE foundation.
  • Identify and handling potential case to support from project, liaison with victims, review case progress and determine case closure;
  • Identify any issues with the referral pathway for further support of the victims.
  • Serve as legal aid service officer at the organization dealing industry and labour related issues, more specifically: (a) case management (b) support the victims for getting Employments Injury Insurance (EII) benefits; (c) counseling the victims; (e) Prepare a case study on beneficiary workers/ dependents and reports (f) maintain proper documentation of the victims etc.
  • Coordinating and providing support that is require, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and client-centered
  • Organize weekly case management supervision and coaching with community volunteer workers
  • Formation of Networking with legal aid service provider organizations and institutions in the country.
  • Conduct Training on case management and other related issues.
