Additional Requirements
- LL.B (Hons) and LL.M from a reputed university.
- Enrollment as an Advocate in Bangladesh Bar Council.
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive legal experience in real estate, land acquisition, and litigation management within Bangladesh (experience in South Asia)
- Strong expertise in Bangladesh land, real estate, and corporate laws with solid contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability in litigation management, dispute resolution, and compliance oversight.
- Proficient in using digital tools for legal documentation and reporting.
Responsibilities & Context
- Oversee all legal and regulatory matters related to land, real estate, and corporate transactions.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate deeds, MoUs, JV agreements, and development contracts to protect company interests.
- Verify title deeds, mutation records, and ownership history before finalizing land or property purchases.
- Represent and coordinate all company legal cases with external counsels, regulators, and courts.
- Maintain proactive communication with government agencies, RJSC, RAJUK, and land offices to expedite approvals.
- Identify potential legal exposures in transactions and implement strategies to minimize risks.
- Align internal policies with Bangladesh Labour Act, Real Estate Development Act, and other applicable regulations.
- Provide strategic legal opinions and brief the CEO on emerging issues and implications for business decisions.
- Maintain a centralized legal database of all contracts, deeds, and litigation documents for audit readiness.
- Facilitate settlement discussions and alternative dispute resolutions to avoid prolonged litigation.
- Review and approve vendor, supplier, and contractor agreements ensuring compliance and clarity.
- Educate internal teams on legal processes, compliance requirements, and regulatory updates.
