• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)At least 3 years of professional experience in project management, preferably in livestock service related project.

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and principles.

• Experience working with government agencies and local communities in Bangladesh in an asset.

• Practical knowledge and experiences on IEC/BCC materials development.

Job Context

WAVE Foundation is a civil society organization established in 1990, has been implementing multifaceted activities for the socio economic development of the poor and marginalized as well as the establishment of universal human rights and good governance. Besides, the organization is conducting issue based policy advocacy and campaigns. WAVE is driven by its motto ‘Together for Better Life’ towards the vision of establishing ‘A just and Prosperous society’. WAVE has organized its activities into 6 programmes: 1) Poverty Eradication and Livelihood Development 2) Community Financing and Entrepreneurship Development 3) Agri-Food System Transformation 4) Governance, Rights and Justice 5) Social Development and Youth Empowerment 6) Climate Justice and Renewable Energy Promotion. WAVE Foundation is going to implement ‘Strengthening Resilience of Livestock Farmers through Risk Reducing Services (LRMP)’ Project supported by PKSF. For implementing the project WAVE Foundation is seeking qualified candidate for the position of the ‘Livestock Officer’ of this project.

Job Responsibilities

• As project focal person to implement the “Strengthening resilience of livestock farmers through risk reduction services” project.

• The Livestock Officer will provide technical assistance to household level farms, organize animal vaccine and health camp at field level, provide training for staff and farmers, data management at central level, knowledge gathering in organization level regarding animal insurance.

• Prepare project report, case studies and document of best practice etc.

• Liaison with Upazilla and District livestock office, BLRI and different research organization.

Duration of the Position: One (01) year initially

Job Location: Chuadanga District with frequent field visit in other project areas (at least 60% of time)

Compensation & Other Benefits

Monthly gross salary will be BDT 48,000-50,000/- (including all) Compensation & other benefits: As per the project provision
