- Experience of working for a humanitarian/non-profit-making organization in relevant area.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world’s largest humanitarian organization, with a network of 192-member National Societies. The IFRC is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (Movement), together with its member National Societies and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Job Purpose: .
The Logistics Officer is responsible for ensuring efficient, transparent, and timely logistics support in the areas of procurement and fleet management. The role supports programmatic activities, ensuring compliance with IFRC standards, donor requirements, and local regulations while optimizing cost-effectiveness and operational sustainability
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
- Support Logistics/Procurement Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing procurement processes for goods, services, and works in line with IFRC procurement guidelines.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring reliable supply chains that meet quality and ethical standards.
- Assists line manager for conducting market assessments and managing tender processes, including bid evaluation and contract negotiations.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping to maintain audit readiness and compliance with donor and organizational requirements.
- Collaborate with program teams to identify procurement needs and develop/ensure specifications in order to procure the right items
Fleet Management:
- Support Logistics/Procurement Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, and utilization of the fleet to ensure operational efficiency and cost control.
- Implement policies and procedures for fleet safety, fuel management, and vehicle tracking systems.
- Coordinate vehicle allocation, scheduling, and routing to support programmatic activities and emergency responses.
- Manage registration, insurance, and compliance with local transport regulations.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of fleet assets and recommend replacements or upgrades as necessary.
- Review the monthly fuel and maintenance costs and analyse the trends.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to IFRC policies, procedures, and code of conduct in all procurement and fleet activities.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, fraud, and non-compliance.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely responses to findings and recommendations.
Working Condition:
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including to remote or high-risk locations, as needed.
