Job responsibilities

Planning and scheduling planned and unplanned maintenance work.
Diagnosing breakdown problems and oversee time-critical repairs.
Calibration and maintenance of measuring, inspection and test equipment
Directing, instructing and supervising maintenance technicians and fitters
Liaising with client departments and customers
Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
Controlling maintenance tools, stores, equipment and spares
Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs
Writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines.
Assists in preparation and implementation of capital and departmental budgets for utility engineering and construction activities.
Designs in-house capital improvement projects; and performs project management activities.
Adheres to personal and departmental compliance with all safety regulations and safety policies.
Organizes work to ensure that it can be accomplished in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintains a positive attitude with team/unit.
ISO and NOSA activities.
Maintains good public relations.
