Maintenance Manager for Woven Sewing Machine

Job Context

We, JIN HONG GARMENTS LTD, are a sister concern of DISHANG GROUP (China’s largest manufacturer and exporter of apparel and textiles). We are seeking an exceptionally dynamic, result-driven, and technically sound Maintenance Manager – Woven Sewing Machine to lead our machine maintenance department. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong floor control, capable of ensuring maximum machine uptime, driving technical efficiency, minimizing downtime, and implementing robust preventive maintenance strategies in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive leadership to the sewing machine maintenance team, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and automated systems operate at peak efficiency to support production targets.

• Develop, implement, and monitor robust Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules to minimize breakdown time, optimize machine uptime, and ensure smooth line setting for production.
• Guide the technical team in fast and accurate troubleshooting of advanced woven sewing machinery (e.g., auto-snappers, template machines, feed lock, over lock and specialized automated workstations) to support seamless line balancing.
• Manage the spare parts inventory effectively, ensuring optimal stock levels of critical components while driving cost-control initiatives and minimizing wastage.
• Coordinate seamlessly with Production, Industrial Engineering (IE), Quality Assurance (QA), and Planning teams to execute quick line layouts and machinery adjustments based on style changes.
• Ensure strict adherence to Company CoC, Buyer Compliance, Safety standards, and Ethical Standards across all technical activities (including proper needle guards, pulley covers, and electrical safety).
• Analyze machinery breakdown data, identify recurring technical gaps, and implement continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing practices to extend machinery lifespan and reduce energy consumption.
• Mentor, motivate, and build a high-performing team of assistant maintenance managers, mechanics, and technicians through continuous technical training and skill-gap assessments.
