Responsibilities & Context

CODEC is an inheritor of DANIDA Bangladesh derived from couple of project intervention explicitly DANIDA Boat Building Project and Boat Rental Scheme. CODEC has been working as a people centered development organization since 1985.CODEC has been growing and evolving into efficient and effective non-governmental development organization in the coastal area of Bangladesh. From the beginning of its development intervention, CODEC started its activities only with the fisherfolk communities but over the period CODEC now extended its working area with other disadvantaged coastal communities along with the fisherfolk community in the exposed coastal districts in Bangladesh.Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the following positions from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for our “Climate-Resilient Agricultural Empowerment in Khulna (CRAEK)” in Dacope, Koyra, Paikgacha and Batiaghata Upazila of Khulna District. (“Come and Learn”) Project funded by USAID and BRAC will provide technical assistance to increase Agriculture and Food Security through Access to Quality Inputs, Access to Extension Services, Market Linkages, Post-Harvest Loss and Waste awareness under USAID Bangladesh America Maitree Project title “Climate-Resilient Agricultural Empowerment in Khulna (CRAEK)” in Dacope, Koyra, Paikgacha and Batiaghata Upazila of Khulna District. The project is designed to benefit 7,200 direct beneficiaries and 27,000 indirect beneficiaries across the four targeted upazilas in Khulna District. To achieve this, the project will focus on selecting the five most climate-vulnerable unions within each upazila.The program is implemented through an integrated approach building synergies across 4 (four) program elements with the objectives of achieving the following results through interrelated components:·        Improve the Availability, Adoption, and Sustainable Use of High-Yielding, Climate-Resilient Agricultural Inputs ·       Improve Farmers’ Knowledge of Modern Farming Practices, Post-Harvest Handling, and Market Linkages through Digital Solutions and Private Sector Engagement ·       Establish and Strengthen the Market Supply Chain for Smallholder Farmers by Connecting Them with Local Vendors, Community Markets, and High-Value Markets, Including F-Commerce and E-Commerce Platforms· Implement Modern Technologies and Practices to Minimize Post-Harvest Losses of Agricultural Production through Improved Storage, Transportation, and Packaging. ·       

Responsibilities:Develop and implement M&E plans to track progress against objectives and outcomes. Collect and analyze data related to adoption rates, crop yields, and market linkages.·       

Prepare detailed M&E reports, highlighting progress, challenges, and impact. Ensure timely submission of reports to project stakeholders.·        Maintain and manage databases for project-related data. Ensure accuracy and reliability of data collection and reporting.·      

  Identify and document lessons learned and best practices. Recommend adjustments to strategies and implementation based on M&E findings.·        Provide training to project staff and partners on M&E processes and tools.·      

  Identify project activities in four project components and cross-cutting activities e.g. communications, grants etc. in line with CRAEK results framework and PMP indicators; and train site team on M&E process;·        Quality assessment through regular monitoring of project implementation and reporting to upazilas, Maitree team and M&E specialist;·       

Coordinate with Project Manager and upazila-based officers, and implementation team of CRAEK to ensure the functionality M&E framework and PMP indicators;

Ensure real-time data collection and reporting to CRAEK Link so that all project activities at upazila level are adequately captured, validated and reported to Project Manager as well as M&E system;·       

Support M&E process of the project for setting baselines of all indicators, monthly/quarterly PMP reporting, impact and evaluation studies,

Community landscape planning and relevant technical studies/assessments; Update Regional Coordinator as well as M&E Specialist regarding project progress in line with PMP indicators;·       

Provide technical backstopping to the upazila team of CRAEK in program implementation, particularly capacity building, resilience agricultural empowerment program implementation;·     

 Ensure that the Upazila level team maintains required source documents in connection with project activities;·     

 Any other activities as assigned by the Project Manager.

D. Process Documents:a.    You will be responsible to maintain a Work Journal, where you will document your learnings, mistakes, challenges, experiences, accumulated knowledge, etc. either in English/Bengali and share with your line manager/CODEC management when required.b.    You will be responsible to coordinate with all teams/departments of your project/program to document and share all knowledge that can be relevant and beneficial for the organization.

E. PSEA: S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)’s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy. Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse – PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
