Responsibilities & Context

Major Roles on Business Development:

  • Lead Sales and commercials to ensure achieve sales targets and attain development of all clients, accounts, prospects from major to small target customers of the freight division to ensure Sales targets, GP and accounts receivables of the international freight unit.
  • Create strong awareness of market and trade developments within the country and work closely with the Management and Pricing team accordingly.
  • Full participation in the annual budget process and monitoring of performance. Includes setting of volume targets, trade initiatives. AF and SF investments, new activities, GP development etc.
  • Ensure the overall business development activities by generating new leads, convert leads to profitable customers with joint or direct sales calls as and when needed.
  • Create and nurture a strong Sales approach ensuring clients expectations within sales structured & active collaboration with Management and Business Development team colleagues.
  • Keep maintaining customers and be responsible for the sales targets, growth of business all existing and new customer base, especially of the International Courier and freight products and services.
  • Contribute in the sales and marketing strategies in active collaboration with Management team.
  • Actively engage in building strategies, commercials plan, manage opportunities, and promote services to all customers and prospects.
  • Synchronize and collaborate with management for costs, budgets and sales targets (where necessary case to case and yearly basis’s) to optimize the pricing and company net profit.
  • Synchronize with management on Sales budgets, Customs acquisition roadmaps, progress and take care of all troubleshooting withing the Int’l Courier and freight products.
  • Ensure to apply and execute sales strategy for the development and success of the Outbound and Inbound Courier/ Express Product, Air Freight, Sea Freight, Warehousing, Trucking and related and P&L for business in conjunction with the management.§  Ensure strong customer presence, promote & propose the international Courier and freight services and various solutions to develop business, revenue, customers and agent network across the globe.
  • Lead and fuel the developing of business stakeholders: local and international trustworthy agents, local vendors, partners and associations strategically, in conjunction with Country Management and business needs.
  • Ensure strong bilateral relations within the agents and networks. Develop opportunities, leads with agents and networks and close nomination business and trade lane developments.
  • Create strong relations with Carriers, Vendors and all service providers to ensure we maintain best service and rates to create conditions that support our client and trade development.
  • Work with Product and Operations team to develop local Carrier Contracts and pricing to major clients. Such pricing decisions to be informed and mandatorily discussed with Country Management and if necessary, with overseas partners and agents.
  • Prepare different sales report and share sales update regularly to the HOD/CEO.
  • Support and actively co-ordinate with Management to ensure that we maximize the most advantageous Credit terms from the carriers in terms of credit days extended and ceiling.
  • Establish close working relations with all Key agents, Operations, pricing and Management team within the organization.
  • Work Closely together with the Management and SBU’s within the Group and among international agents, Principals to develop a strong business development and profitability plans.
  • Work Closely together with colleagues from different levels and sister concerns within the Head office and other relevant units, vendors and service providers to maximize profitability and where results are unsatisfactory to actively take steps to correct negative situations.
  • Create and lead strong Team environment within the Head office and business units. Promote beneficial relations within other agents to create bilateral partnerships and trade growth.
  • Take full control of the Customer Credit Profile based on Company’s Credit Policy and ensure to collect and materialization of Account Receivables from clientele as per the deployed policy.
  • Ensure achieving the Revenue and Gross Profit Sales Targets, Client Acquisition Milestones and Support overall Marketing and Sales drive of the Company.
