Responsibilities & Context
- Preparation of financial statements, including Profit & Loss Accounts, Balance Sheets and Necessary monthly, quarterly and yearly reports as required by management.
- Ensure the maintenance of all financial records and books of accounts (general ledger book, cheque register, stock register, salary register, fixed assets register, bank reconciliation and other relevant registers).
- Daily weekly and monthly accounts related report preparation and checking.
- Reconcile the balance end if the month and submit the Monthly reports to the Management.
- Recommend and implement improved accounting methods, procedures and internal controls.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to optimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance.
- Oversee VAT registration, filing and compliance activities under Bangladesh VAT laws.
- Maintain inventory system: facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software.
- Conduct frequent spot and partial of physical inventory.
- Address any problems, obstacles or challenges.
- Collecting & Studying data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
- Recording cost information for use on controlling expenditures.
- Analyzing changes in cost Sheet, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided to determine effects on cost.
- Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Providing report specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products to management.
- Develop cost accounting system.
- Meet with Production and manufacturing managers throughout the company to discuss new strategies to improve efficiency.
- Work as a system administrator in accounting software- Tally & SAP.
- Special assignment as per management requirement.
