Responsibilities & Context
The Christian Cooperative Credit Union Limited, Dhaka is looking for an experienced and self-motivated “Principal” for Divine Mercy Nursing Institute to ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing education and preparing students for successful careers in healthcare sector.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations across the Institute by providing effective leadership, supervision and a safe environment for all students and employees and ensure overall excellence.
Develop and implement policies, regulations, protocols, internal controls, procedures and guidelines to ensure the smooth functioning of the college by providing strategic leadership and to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe learning environment that meets the approved curriculum as per regulatory and government standards/practices.
Design and update the nursing curriculum to meet the educational standards and requirements. Collaborate with faculty members to develop relevant and up-to-date courses that align with industry trends and best practices.
Recruit and evaluate faculty members and staff.
Provide guidance and support to ensure effective teaching and learning. Promote high standards and expectations for professional development and suggest opportunities for faculty and staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Oversee student affairs, including admissions, enrollment, and student support services. Ensure that students have access to all necessary resources and support systems to succeed academically and personally. In addition, also address student concerns and maintains a positive learning environment.
Ensure that the nursing college meets accreditation standards and regulatory requirements by conducting regular assessments and evaluations to monitor the quality of education and implement improvements as needed.
Represent the nursing institute in the community and fosters partnerships with healthcare organizations, professional associations, and other stakeholders. Promote the institute’s reputation and collaborate on initiatives that benefit students and the nursing profession.
Responsible for financial management, including budget planning and resource allocation. Ensure that the college operates within its financial means and maximizes resources to support educational programs and services.
Manage, evaluate and supervise effective and clear procedures for the operation and functioning of the extracurricular activities, discipline systems to ensure a safe and orderly climate, building maintenance, program evaluation, personnel management, office operations, and emergency procedures.
Allocate teaching responsibilities to the academic staff as agreed by the principal and in the academic board.
Manage and maintain the property assets, including all other facilities of the Nursing Institute and to be aware of and comply with all Health and safety regulations as directed by the government.
Serve as a credible and compelling spokesperson for the Institute.
