Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

  • As a Project Manager/AGM – Civil engineering is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Project Manager ensures compliance with safety regulations and manages resources effectively to achieve project goals. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee construction/projects work from beginning to end.

  • Manage the budget and estimate costs for any assign work/project and need to take necessary approval from management.

  • Keep track of inventory, tools and equipment. Prepare reports regarding construction status.

  • Resolve any problems that may arise .Train, guide and monitor construction workers / laborers .

  • Collaborate with Consultant, Contractor/subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project team.

  • Negotiate with external vendors on contract agreements.

  • Obtain the appropriate permits and licenses from authorities for construction sites i.e. RAJIK, City Corporation and others if necessary.

  • Plan construction operations. Hire contractors and staff including construction laborers.

  • Delegate responsibilities. Allocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects.

  • Keep all stakeholders aware of the progress on projects and prepare progress reports regularly.

  • Handle any environmental or local community issues that may come up during a project work.

  • Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards.        

  • Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure that all workers comply with safety regulations.
