Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
Candidates with relevant educational backgrounds and strong industry experience are encouraged to apply.

Experience

7 to 10 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments

Additional Requirements

Strong design sense with the ability to develop commercially successful collections.

Excellent knowledge of non-denim woven and knit fabrics.

Good understanding of fabric sourcing and leading fabric mills.

Strong buyer communication and relationship management skills.

Excellent market and fashion trend analysis capabilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or other design software will be an advantage.

Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple development projects.

Responsibilities & Context

Soorty Textiles (BD) Ltd. is looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced professional for the position of Manager / Assistant Manager – Product Development (Non-Denim). The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and ensuring effective financial management of the organization.

Develop innovative non-denim garment collections for both tops and bottoms.

Research fashion trends and create seasonal product concepts based on market demand.

Design and develop new products, including fabric, trims, wash, and garment details.

Maintain strong knowledge of woven and knit non-denim fabrics and their applications.

Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers to support business development and new opportunities.

Work closely with merchandising, sourcing, and production teams to ensure smooth product development.

Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer requirements to introduce new product ideas.

Prepare presentations, mood boards, and sample developments for buyer meetings.

Ensure timely development of samples while maintaining quality and commercial viability.
