Job Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join our Commodity Item Sourcing department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the commodities sector, specifically with grain commodities, and a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics from outside Bangladesh.

This role requires strategic planning, market development, and strong relationship-building abilities to support our sourcing objectives and drive growth in the market. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Market Analysis & Strategy Development:  
• Conduct market research to identify potential sourcing opportunities for various commodity items, especially in the grain sector.  
• Develop and implement business strategies to expand market presence and achieve sales targets.  
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends to make data-driven decisions and strategies. 
• Relationship Management:  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and industry stakeholders in Bangladesh and abroad.  
• Negotiate contracts and ensure favorable terms for sourcing and procurement of commodities. 
• Supply Chain Optimization:  
• Analyze and streamline supply chain processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs in sourcing commodity items.  
• Collaborate with logistics and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance. 
• Project Management & Reporting:  
• Oversee project initiatives from inception through execution, ensuring that sourcing projects meet timeline and budget requirements.  
• Prepare regular reports on market insights, performance metrics, and project progress to present to senior management. 
• Regulatory Compliance:  
• Ensure all sourcing activities are compliant with national and international trade regulations and company policies.  
• Keep up-to-date with changes in regulations related to commodity sourcing and import/export requirements.
