Responsibilities & Context

The Manager – Civil Engineer at Water Park plays a pivotal role in ensuring the park’s infrastructure is robust, safe, and visually appealing. This leadership position requires a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, meticulous attention to detail, and effective project management skills. By overseeing construction projects, maintenance activities, and compliance with regulations, the AGM – Civil contributes to the park’s success as a premier leisure destination.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Construction and Maintenance:

• Supervise construction projects, maintenance, and renovations of park infrastructure.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of park facilities.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.

2.    Project Management:

• Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for civil projects.
• Coordinate with external contractors, engineers, and architects.
• Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.

3.    Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and legal requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

4.    Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with other departments to support operational needs.
• Serve as a liaison with local authorities and community groups.
• Participate in strategic planning meetings and contribute insights and recommendations.

5.    Leadership and Development:

• Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of civil maintenance staff.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the civil maintenance team.

6.    Innovation and Sustainability:

• Implement sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
• Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in civil engineering and construction management.

7.    Infrastructure Development:

• Collaborate with the design and development team to conceptualize and execute new construction projects.
• Develop and maintain a long-term capital improvement plan for the park’s civil infrastructure.

8.    Operational Efficiency:

• Implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and minimize downtime for civil maintenance activities.
• Streamline processes and workflows related to construction, maintenance, and renovation projects.

9.    Guest Experience Enhancement:

• Ensure that civil infrastructure projects contribute to enhancing the overall guest experience and satisfaction.
• Implement design elements and features that enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of park facilities.

10. Emergency Preparedness:

• Develop and maintain emergency response plans for civil infrastructure-related incidents.
• Conduct regular drills and training sessions to ensure readiness to handle emergencies effectively.

11. Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Provide input and recommendations for budget allocation and resource allocation for civil projects.
• Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
