Code updating, etc.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control customs & revenue activities related to company;
  • Should have adequate knowledge on HS code, Customs Act, Bond formalities; Responsible for Bond Licensing, Capable Customs Audit and related issues with Customs Bond;
  • To maintain In-Bond, Ex-Bond & UP statement with Custom-Bond Register;
  • Prepare yearly Import and Export Customs statement for Bond Audit;
  • Submission utilizations declarations (UD/amendment) for raw materials, chemical on online and arrange to get final approval on time from BGMEA;
  • Capable to collect all type BGMEA certificate, Recommendation Letter, others on time from BGMEA;
  • Prepare UP and strong knowledge of UP related any documents;
  • Maintain effective communication with Customs, Bond & VAT Officials; and other organizations;
  • Maintain Excel soft copy of Bond register Issue VAT Challan 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 and submit monthly VAT return (9.1);
  • Must have ability to manage any task through excellent coordination between government and private authorities and organizations in Bangladesh;
  • Must have experience in obtaining all types of Licenses renewal for Woven Garments/Washing Factory;
  • Obtain/renewal and maintain BOILER licenses with regulations and timely;
  • Maintaining effective liaison with DOT, SIDA, BEPZA, EPB, NBR, Customs Bond, Customs;
  • Excise and VAT, 801, DEDO, CCl&E, Narcotic, NSI, SB, and other government offices;
  • Capable on matters such as Bill of Entry, Customs SRO, HS Code, Customs Act, Import Export;
  • Policy, In-Bond and Ex-Bond, and Customs Annual Audit;
  • Manage regulatory communications during crises and coordinate with internal management and staff;
  • To work in coordination with all applicable laws and regulations related to the import and export process;
  • Organize and present necessary reports to both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by management; Oversee and manage customs bonds to ensure compliance with regulations ant timely renewals;
  • Supervising and guiding effectively of a group of operational teams in the related field;
  • Overall follow-up in all Customs & Govt. Compliance matters for smooth running of 3 large woven garment industries and 1 large washing plant.
