  • Willingness to travel anywhere in Bangladesh.

JOB PURPOSE: The Manager of Disability Inclusion will promote disability inclusion across the organisation and collaborate with stakeholders, providing guidance and advice to strengthen disability-inclusive systems throughout Bangladesh, helping achieve BRAC’s mission, vision, and programme goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide guidance, advice, and technical support on disability inclusion to BRAC Programmes, Enterprises, and Departments (PEDs), ensuring they can independently operationalise disability inclusion.
  • Promote accessibility, reasonable accommodation, and disability-inclusive communication at all levels within BRAC.
  • Initiate evidence-informed advocacy and organise events to improve disability-inclusive systems in Bangladesh.
  • Manage collaborations with Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) and other disability inclusion actors, ensuring their participation in national and local coordination levels.
  • Document, promote, and brand BRAC’s disability inclusion efforts, while coordinating with KM, M&E, and OD for result tracking, quality monitoring, knowledge capturing, and progress reporting.
  • Prepare and manage budgets effectively, ensuring compliance with financial policies and efficient expenditure.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
