Responsibilities & Context
- Managing end-to-end export processes, including documentation, shipping, customs clearance, and delivery
- Ensuring compliance with international trade laws, export regulations, and customs procedures
- Preparing and reviewing export documentation such as invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and letters of credit
- Monitoring shipment schedules and ensure on-time delivery of goods
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities in international markets
- Conducting market research to determine export potential, pricing, and competitor analysis
- Building and maintaining relationships with international clients, distributors, and agents
- Participating in trade fairs, exhibitions, and trade missions to promote company products
- Collaborating with production, sales, finance, and logistics teams to ensure timely fulfillment of export orders
- Coordinating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines
- Communicating with foreign buyers and agents to resolve issues related to shipments or documentation
- Negotiating freight rates and payment terms with shipping and logistics partners
- Monitoring foreign exchange rates, export pricing, and margins
- Ensuring proper documentation for export incentives, duty drawbacks, and government claims
- Preparing regular reports on export performance, costs, and profitability
- Tracking export KPIs such as delivery timelines, customer satisfaction, and market growth
