Responsibilities & Context

  •  Strong knowledge about costing, price negotiation, and close follow-up with customers until orders are shipped.
  •  Obtain full responsibility from product development to shipping through T & A plan management, as well as after-services required by customers.
  • Candidate should be a self-starter capable of performing multi-tasking, working well within tight deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
  •  Monitor and report on all activities, forecasts, and provide relevant management information.
  • Candidates must have experience in the garment division (jacket/outerwear) items.
  • Contact potential buyers for business development and order collection.
  • Correspond with buyers for specific orders and address related issues.
  • Develop new buyers, products, and negotiate prices.
  • Capable of planning and marketing garments factory and sub-contracting during order crisis moments.
  • Communicate with buyers and fulfill their needs in every aspect.
  • Develop garment samples as requested by buyers.
  • Prepare bill of materials, coordinate and track delivery of raw materials.
  • Market and lead efforts to acquire more orders.
  • Identify, develop, and increase sales volume for the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with high-profile customers.
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities.
  • Independently handle activities including marketing, sales, instant price quotation, negotiation, and sourcing.
  • Liaise with buyers for order booking, processing, follow-up, and export planning.
  • Play a leading role in long-term planning and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Lead the in-house team of designers to meet buyer’s needs.
  • Coordinate with planning department to determine delivery schedule and order implementation sequence.
  • Prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the marketing and merchandising team.
  • Identify new fabric sourcing opportunities based on global apparel market trends, trade regulations, and corporate/brand strategies.
  • Oversee team activities, evaluate performance, and identify strengths and weaknesses.
  • Ensure product quality, fabric compliance, and adherence to requirements.
  • Review and approve samples, resolving queries related to style, construction, workmanship, and quality.
  • Recommend process simplification and cost-saving alternatives to buyers.
  • Drive the use of digital tools for garment technical processes and automation.
  • Contribute to the sustainability agenda and meet business sustainability targets.
  • Collaborate with brands to drive a robust forecasting process supporting revenue targets, production efficiency, on-time performance, and profitability.
  • Prepare production plans and shipment plans according to the “Time and Action Calendar” on a regular basis.
  • Strong knowledge of English speaking, listening, and writing for effective communication with buyers regarding production status and receiving new orders.
  • Ensure maximum lead time to production and maximize profit.
  • Provide regular reporting to management on ongoing activities and issues.
  • Ensure subordinates carry out their duties and responsibilities according to organizational policy.
  • Ensure proper planning for smooth team operations.
