  • The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): ACCORD/ALLIANCE/RSC, NIRAPON, SLCP, SEDEX, BSCI, WRAP, CTPAT, EPZ law, BLL-2006, BNBC-2020, NFPA standards, OEKO-TEX, GOTS, OCS, GRS, RCS, Technical audit and European & USA buyers’ compliance requirements. 
  • Leadership Quality with positive attitude & having ability to take decision independently.
  • Organizing & Managing ability with problem solving ability.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Responsible to ensuring the applicable statutory & legal requirements as per BEPZA & local government law.
  • Obtain and institute compliance standards and carryout regular assessment and gap analysis for individual buyer’s compliance requirements.
  • Formulate standard compliance manual(s) for the factories and update on an on-going basis.Ensure implementation of the compliance activities as per law & customers’ requirements & company standards as well.
  • Lead and coordinate to monitor compliance issues all over the factory on legal permit, child labor, forced labor, harassment, working hours, wages & benefits, maternity, health & safety, environment, security etc. and taking corrective actions, as required.
  • Communication & coordination with buyers, audit firms, legal bodies relating to compliance matters and CAP Preparation for all compliance related audits & ensure the issues to implement as a concern.
  • Updating of compliance reports, buyer portals time to time & keep update as required.
  • Carry out regular compliance audit in all the production locations and put up recommendations, follow-up for implementation and provide reports therefore to the Unit heads & directors.
  • Follow up that all corrective action has been taken/follow up; regularly as per CAP submitted.
  • Follow up all date, records, reports, formats, statement, rank & files, Books & Registers of all departments are properly prepared, issued, update & maintained as per compliance requirement/standards.
  • Liaise with merchandising, Production, QC and QA Department in order to coordinate with Buyers visits and take all necessary steps for facing the buyers/ Govt. and compliance visit and audit.
  • Ensuring & Provide compliance training like COC, PPE, Fire Safety, First Aid and Health Safety, Building maintenance to all concerns & train the workforces.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills on compliance affairs in the buyers’ world.
  • Strive to achieve continuous improvement and adhere to the best practices of the world class apparels industries as regards to the compliance.
  • Prepare and update the assessment of labor laws requirement from the compliance point of view.
  • Maintain environmental sustainability by required activities & work procedures Responsible to drive welfare team for the smooth continuation of their regular activities, maintain effective working relationships with all staff of the company.
  • Implement Code of Conduct Provided by the different renowned buyers.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and share reports with the management.
  • Prepare third-party or buyer audit CAP reports independently and follow up on audits day-to-day.
  • Take proper and immediate steps to improve factory conditions and take all possible measures to adhere with buyers’ compliance instruction.  
  • Good communication skills in both English and Bengali.Good leadership ability to lead & motivate the subordinates.  
  • Able to work under pressure and complete the task within a preset time-frame.Excellent in inter-personal & communication skills.
  • Good team player, well-organized having good initiative and is detail-oriented.
  • Coordinate when Buyer Representatives or Auditors visit the factory.Monitor factory security, safety issues to keep the premises safe & secured.
  • Follow up daily housekeeping activities to maintain clean & tidy workplace.
  • Maintain environmental sustainability for the organization throughout all the activities & work procedures.
  • Maintain the quality policy & objective.
  • Full fill the requirements of ISO, 5S as well.
  • Any other task provided by the Management time to time.
